How much does it cost a business?
Registering is free. For each shift you pay the worker’s hourly wage (you choose it, from £12.71), the employment and payroll costs through Danbro, our fee of £2.50 an hour, and a weekly payroll fee the first time you book that worker in a week. The calculator shows an estimate, and the exact cost is shown before you book.
How are workers checked?
Every worker’s ID and right to work in the UK are checked before they can apply for shifts. Care staff also complete healthcare checks, with reminders before anything expires. You see what’s been checked on each applicant’s profile.
What if the worker isn’t right, or doesn’t turn up?
If a new worker’s first shift with you isn’t right, we refund our £2.50 an hour fee. If someone can’t make a shift, we find a replacement fast.
Who employs the staff?
Danbro, our employment and payroll partner. They employ and pay staff for the shifts they work through FlexyStaff, including tax, National Insurance, holiday pay and payslips. FlexyStaff runs the platform that brings you together.
Can I cancel a shift?
Yes. Before you confirm, FlexyStaff shows you exactly what cancelling costs, if anything. Staff are paid if a business cancels at short notice.
Can I register and post shifts on the website?
Yes. Businesses can register, post, book and pay on this website, and staff can sign up and apply for shifts here too. It’s the same account as the app, so you can use both.
We have several venues. Can managers have their own logins?
Yes. Add a manager for each site under Team and sites. Spend and statements are split by site.
How long can a shift be?
Shifts are 4 to 12 hours, and the same worker can do up to 40 hours a week with one business.
Do you cover the Isle of Man?
Yes, with businesses across the Island and our own Isle of Man healthcare manager. For Isle of Man costs, contact us.
How do I get paid as a worker?
Once your hours are approved, you’re paid through Danbro. Your Earnings screen shows confirmed and pending pay, holiday pay and your payslips.
