FlexyStaff is looking for enthusiastic Local Food & Venue Reviewers to get out and discover the businesses, food and people that make their local hospitality scene special.
This is a flexible opportunity for someone who loves food, hospitality and creating social content.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll visit local restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels and hospitality venues, experience what they have to offer and create engaging content that helps tell their story.
Your assignments could include:
* Visiting and discovering local hospitality venues
* Trying and showcasing food and drinks
* Creating short videos, Reels and social content
* Photographing dishes, drinks and venues
* Meeting chefs, bartenders, owners and hospitality teams
* Creating “Meet the Venue” features
* Interviewing the people behind local businesses
* Finding new openings and hidden local gems
* Sharing recommendations and hospitality experiences
* Producing behind-the-scenes content
* Helping showcase opportunities to work within featured venues
This isn’t about being a food critic.
We’re looking for someone who can celebrate great local businesses, discover interesting stories and create content that makes people want to visit.
Who are we looking for?
You don’t need to be a professional influencer or have thousands of followers.
We’re looking for personality, creativity and enthusiasm.
You could be a student, hospitality worker, aspiring content creator, foodie or simply someone who loves discovering new places.
You’ll ideally be:
* Confident and outgoing
* Passionate about food and hospitality
* Comfortable speaking on camera
* Happy approaching and talking to businesses
* Familiar with TikTok, Instagram and short-form video
* Comfortable taking photos and filming with your phone
* Creative and able to spot a good story
* Interested in what’s happening locally
* Reliable and able to work independently
Every assignment could be different
One week you could be discovering a new independent restaurant.
The next you might be behind the scenes with a chef, learning how a signature dish is made.
Another assignment could involve meeting a bartender, discovering a new venue or interviewing the people behind one of your area’s most popular hospitality businesses.
Go somewhere interesting. Meet interesting people. Tell their story.
Work flexibly
This role is designed to fit around you.
Assignments may take place during the day, evenings or weekends depending on the venue.
